Service Description

Faith Healthcare Career Center Medical Assistant Program (MA) will equip individuals to perform/work as an entry level or higher in a MA position in healthcare facilities such as: physician offices, urgent care centers, emergency rooms, and clinics. The program will consist of both theory, lab and minimal externship training. Individuals will be equipped to work in clinical and or administrative positions. MA’s will have knowledge of ethical and legal concerns related to healthcare. MA’s will be able to assist physicians with minor procedures including but not limited to phlebotomy, first-aid, EKG, and X-ray, physical examinations and other exams requiring patient preparation. Graduates will also be able to sterilize instruments and assist the physician with limited surgical procedures.
